Spain..?? Greece..?? Naaahh Scarborough..!!

Got to love the British Summertime Seaside Weather

* Arrive at Beach - Its a Little overcast but its ok

* WHAT THE HELL..!!! Quick get back in the car - Torrential downpoar literally seconds after the last pic

* 10 minutes of solid heavy rain pass - just long enough to eat sandwiches in the car

* 20 minutes after parking up, sat on the beach, glorious sunshine, you would never have known its been raining, yet alone a storm of that magnitude

And who said British Holidays dont have much to offer, theres Sun, Sea, Sand, Picturesque Scenery and bucketloads of Rain..!! All I can say is I am glad that its only a 40 minute drive away from home :-)

A triple century

Word Up,

If your reading this is most probably likely that you have been directed from my Twitter account, where you will see that me talking about this is my 300th tweet..!!!

300 tweets, I know it may only seem like a minor milestone to most people but to me this is big, huge, massive even and as I look back over my 300 tweets to see what I have accomplished with it then I am pretty impressed even if I do say so myself :-)

Not only do I have some great friends on there already, @danmaw1979, @aylwardreed & @blondekeen but I've met some fantastically interesting people on Twitter, @PaulSteel for one, a really talented musician/singer/writer but also a genuinly nice guy, I've started or been mainly responsible for a twittering Rushton revolution (on which note I found another 29 Rushton's today taking it past 250 mark, although dissapointing found 3 Rushton's had blocked me but lets not dwell) and there are far too many Rushton's to single out for an individual mention and we are a collective now so it would be unfair haha, had conversations with a few celebs (i use this term very VERY losely cos i know they would hate being referred to as celebs) Dave Gorman, Will Carling & Rob Brydon, I've been Retweeted, Forwarded and Reffered to in other tweets and you know what I am quite happy with my lot.

So why do people still not like twitter and diss it at every possible opportunity when i enjoy it so much.? Personally I believe it all comes down to the people you follow as to how your experience shapes up, you have to choose wisely and resist the celebrity option as much as possible, yes its great to see what Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore had for breakfast or read how sad/happy/angry/battered jordan and Peter are or bask in the radiance & annoyance of Perez & Paris Hilton but when you have flick through the 250 tweets a day that you really dont care about you may have missed those few gems that were left by that person you actually know or would like to get to know. I would never advise someone not to follow a person or to follow someone in particular but think about who you follow, have a look at how many updates they post and how many people they follow first and make a more informed judgement, after all you can always look at their updates at any time without having to follow them.

Anyway, enough rambling on from me, please do note I am of course available to follow on twitter and would cherish each and every new follower ;-)

To all my friends, followers and readers of my updates, I love you all in your own special way

Mo Fo and Jimmy B

Today was Mohammed and Jamie's last day at work, the two placement students from University that have been working with me this year.

It really doesn't get any easier to see them leave, last year was Matty Parker and the year before was Phil Ross... its quite difficult to say goodbye to them after making such good friends in a short space of time.

Not really got much more to say as I might start to cry but its never easy to see anyone you get on with leave work, placement students or not.... its a cruel hard world we live in....

.... after all why should they get the joy of leaving and not me haha :-)

Peace Bredrin's

Where's the time gone

Hi my name is Rich Rushton and its been 19 days since my last update.....

so 19 days to cover, where to start, lets do this with a bit of thought and planning... as i have learnt on my uni course a good piece of writing starts with a good plan

so here's the plan

How i've spent my Last 19 days

  • Watched Glastonbury solidly on TV, every possible opportunity, every band available, milking the BBC red button for everything it had to offer... loved it sooooo much but at the same time gutted that I wasn't there... Highlights were Dizzee Rascal, Glasvegas, Blur, Lady Gaga (i know.?!?) Bloc Party, Tom Jones and seeing Jamie T still singing laying on his back after falling off a speaker.
  • Dizzee Rascal.... I have always loved Dizzee Rascal pre commercial success but now after seeing the Glastonbury set am getting some tickets to go see him in Leeds/Sheffield in October, its gonna be sweeeeeet..!!
  • T in The Park - see Glastonbury entry above - same story - Highlights were easily Elbow & Regina Spektor, possibly the two artists i want to see more than anyone else right now
  • Started work on remixing a track for a Polish band called 'Tonic Drive'
  • Got my latest Uni results in - got a 75% for my exam conditioned essay, bloody marvellous
  • Threw a cheeky BBQ had a few mates round and got through rather a lot of alcohol, ended up going clubbing afterwards and getting in at four a.m. managed to blag into the VIP area, well just walked in really, and was drinking out of a 4 pint pitcher all night (how cool am i..!!!)
  • Grew a Faux-hawk, not quite a Mohawk but a fake one, like Faux Leather or Suede
  • Registered for next years Glastonbury, not missing this one
  • Knocked a bottle of fabric conditioner over my phone and iPod and still suffering the effects from it now :-(
  • Growing a full on beard, I know I wont regret this in a few years time when i look back at it
  • That is all
Ermmm think i quite like this in list form now... maybe next time i will include pictures

Much love to all
x
